On April 12, 2012 the New Mexico Equine Rescue Alliance received the first load of horses from the New Mexico Livestock Board. Eight horses are in one case that the NMLB is still investigating. Six others were surrendered to the NMLB from different owners.
It is the goal of all the rescues that are part of the NM ERA to take all horses from the New Mexico Livestock Board. By working together the rescues can distribute the horses to different rescues so no one rescue is overwhelmed.
Please consider helping this new network achieve the goal of saving New Mexico's horses!
